Punishment for speaking harshly

एकजातिर्द्विजातींस्तु वाचा दारुणया क्षिपन् ।

जिह्वायाः प्राप्नुयाच्छेदं जघन्यप्रभवो हि सः ॥२७०॥

A Shudra who abuses twice born (Brahmin and Kshatriya) with harsh words, his tongue should be cut off, because he is of lowly origin.

जो शूद्र द्विजों (ब्राह्मण और क्षत्रिय) को कटु वचनों से गाली देता है, उसकी जीभ काटकर दण्ड दो, क्योंकि वह नीच कुल का है।

Punishment for telling a Brahmin right and wrong

धर्मोपदेशं दर्पेण विप्राणामस्य कुर्वतः।

तप्तमासेचयेत्तैलं वक्त्रे श्रोत्रे च पार्थिवः ॥२७२॥

 

The king should have hot oil poured into the mouth and ears of a Shudra

who haughtily preaching Dharma to the Brahmins, by telling them that they should perform the Dharma in this way or that way... and this is right and

that’s wrong etc.

राजा को उस शूद्र के मुंह और कानों में गर्म तेल डाल देना चाहिए जो घमंड से ब्राह्मणों को धर्म का उपदेश दे रहा हो और उनसे कह रहा हो कि 'उन्हें इस तरह या उस तरह से धर्म का पालन करना चाहिए....।

The king should have hot oil poured into the mouth and ears of a Shudra who is haughtily preaching Dharma to the Brahmins and telling them that ‘they should perform Dharma in this way or that way’...

Punishment for sitting with a Brahmin

सहासनमभिप्रेप्सुरुत्कृष्टस्यापकृष्टजः।

कट्यां कृताङ्को निर्वास्यः स्फिचं वास्यावकर्तयेत् ॥२८१॥

If a Shudra sits on the same seat as a Brahmin, then the king should burn his buttocks with a heated iron, then cut it off in such a way that he does not die.

जो शूद्र ब्राह्मण के समान आसन पर बैठे, उस शूद्र की कमर को गर्म लोहे से दाग देना चाहिए, फिर उसके नितंबों को इसतरह काट देना चाहिए कि उसकी मृत्यु न हो।

Punishment for insulting a Brahmin

अवनिष्ठीवतो दर्पाद् द्वावोष्ठौ छंदयेन्नृपः।

अवमूत्रयतो मेढ्रमवशर्धयतो गुदम् ॥२८२॥

If a Shudra insults a Brahmin by spitting on him, then the king shall have both his lips cut off. If he insults a Brahmin by throwing urine at him, then his penis should be cut off. If he abuses a Brahmin by farting, then his anus will be cut off.

यदि कोई शूद्र किसी ब्राह्मण पर थूक कर उसका अपमान करता है, तो राजा को उसके दोनों होंठ काट देने चाहिए। यदि वह ब्राह्मण पर मूत्र फेंक कर उसका अपमान करता है, तो उसका लिंग काट देना चाहिए। यदि वह ब्राह्मण को पाद कर गाली देता है, तो उसका गुदा काट देना चाहिए।

Dismantle that body part of a Shudra

शूद्रो द्विजातीनभिसंधायाभिहत्य च वाग्दण्डपारुष्याभ्या-

मङ्गमोच्यो येनोपहन्यात् ॥१॥

If a Shudra intentionally harms a Dwija (Brahmins, Kshatriyas, or Vaishyas) through words or physical actions, the king should have his body part cut off from which he has committed the offence.

शूद्र के जान बूझकर वाणी द्वारा या प्रहार द्वारा द्विजातियों को कष्ट पहुँचाने पर जिस अंग द्वारा शूद्र ने अपराध किया हो उसे ( राजा ) कटवा ले।

Cut the genitals of a Shudra

आर्यस्यभिगमने लिङ्गोद्धारः स्वहरणं च ॥२॥

गोप्ता चेद्वधोऽधिकःस यदि शूद्रस्तासां गोप्ता रक्षिता भवति तदा वधः कार्यः अधिक- ग्रहणात्पूर्वोक्तदण्डद्वयमपि भवति ॥३॥

If a Shudra has sex with an upper-caste woman (i.e. the women of Brahmin Kshatriya or Vaishyas then his genitals will be cut, and all his property will be taken away. If the Shudra is the protector of that upper-caste woman (Brahmin Kshatriya or Vaishyas), then in addition to the above punishments, he should also be given the sentence of death. 

यदि शूद्र किसी उच्च जाति की स्त्री (अर्थात ब्राह्मण क्षत्रिय या वैश्य की स्त्री) के साथ संभोग करता है तो उसके जननांग काट दिए जाएंगे, तथा उसकी सारी संपत्ति छीन ली जाएगी। यदि शूद्र उस उच्च जाति की स्त्री का रक्षक है तो उसे उपरोक्त दंड के अतिरिक्त मृत्यु दंड भी दिया जाना चाहिए।
